continental : Avoid too much sunny locations, preferring semishady places.

alpine : For a balanced growth and in order to avoid leaves sunburns place this plant in a semishady location.

mediterranean : It is suggested to place the Aglaonema modestum in a semishady location, away from direct sunlight for most part of the day.
These plants do not tolerate temperatures below 10-12°C, therefore grow them in the house most part of the year.

Fertilize Aglaonema modestum : These plants need rather frequent and regular fertilizings; during the most luxuriant vegetative period add some universal fertilizer to normal waterings, every 10-15 days; during the cold season fertilize every 30-45 days.

continental : These plants shall be watered regularly from March to October, avoiding excessive waterings and remember to allow the soil to dry out well between two waterings. During cold months we can avoid watering.

Pests Aglaonema modestum : We can apply a copper and sulphur treatment at the beginning of the vegetative period, which avoids the emerging of different kinds of fungus; during the rest of the year apply pesticide or fungicide treatments only in case a big amount of parasites is on the plants.
