Fertilization Carlina acaulis var. caulescens : Medical plants are fertilized from March to October, using a universal fertilizer; we can opt for a slow-release fertilizer, to be given every 3-4 months. Watering Carlina acaulis var. caulescenscontinental : It is advisable to water regularly, specially during the hottest months of the year, avoiding to leave the soil dry for very long periods; the Carlina acaulis var. caulescens like slightly humid substrates all year long.
