continental : We suggest to place The Ceanothus thyrsiflorus where it is exposed to direct sunlight.
It is advisable to cover the plant in winter with frost cloth, specially in case of intense frosts.

alpine : Place The Ceanothus thyrsiflorus in a location exposed to direct sunlight.
These plants do not tolerate long and intense frosts; for this reason we suggest to cover them with frost cloth during cold months.

mediterranean : These plants need to be exposed to direct sunlight; in summer they can be exposed to a slight shadow without any problem.
We suggest to grow these plants in the garden all year long, since they tolerate temperatures also close to -5°C without any problem.

Feed Ceanothus thyrsiflorus : Fertilize our shrubs using an organic fertilizer or a slow-release granular fertilizer, intervening at the end of winter and at the end of summer. Use potassium-rich fertilizers for our flowering plants, nitrogen-rich fertilizer for green plants.

continental : Give very regular waterings; all year long the soil shall be kept humid, however avoiding dangerous stagnations. Increase waterings in summer and decrease them when autumn starts.

Adversity Ceanothus thyrsiflorus : Apply a precautionary treatment against fungal diseases at the end of winter; later on treatments will be applied only in case parasites are on the plant, trying to use specific products and not broad-spectrum ones. In any case avoid treatments during bloom for not injuring the pollinating insects.
