Exposure Digitalis purpureacontinental : Place The Digitalis purpurea in a semishady place, with few hours a day of direct sunlight. alpine : These plants do not like to be exposed to direct sunlight for long periods. mediterranean : These plants prefer semishady locations, but can be exposed for few hours to direct sunlight without any problem, above all during the coldest periods of the year. Fertilization Digitalis purpurea : Fertilize our annual plants adding a slow-release granular fertilizer to the planting soil; later on give it regularly every 10-15 days, using a fertilizer to be added to normal waterings. Watering Digitalis purpureacontinental : It is advisable to water regularly, specially during the hottest months of the year, avoiding to leave the soil dry for very long periods; The Digitalis purpurea like slightly humid substrates all year long.
