Euonymus nana - Spindletree

continental : They prefer locations where they can receive direct sunlight for at least few hours.
They can tolerate short slight frosts; in case of intense frost cover the aerial part with frost cloth.

alpine : It is advisable to place these plants in a very bright location, exposed to direct sunlight.
We suggest to cover the plants with frost cloth in autumn even though they can tolerate slight frosts; place them in the greenhouse if possible.

mediterranean : Place these plants in a very bright location, possibly exposed to direct sunlight.
The Euonymus nana can generally tolerate slight frosts without any problem, therefore they can be grown in the garden without any problem.

Fertilization Euonymus nana : At the end of winter bury an organic fertilizer at the base of the plant, or a slow-release granular fertilizer, we can intervene again at the end of summer. Acidophil plants may need 2-3 supplies of greening fertilizer during the year, every 3-4 months.

continental : Remember to water the Euonymus nana only when the soil is dry. During waterings try to dampen deeply the substrate, avoiding to drench it excessively.

alpine : The Euonymus nana prefer fresh but not soaked soils, therefore water only when the soil has been dry for few days; providing more frequent waterings in summer and avoid to give water in winter or during the coldest periods of the year.

mediterranean : The Euonymus nana needs very regular and generous waterings; give a good amount of water every week from March to October, but remember to allow the soil to dry out between two waterings. During very cold months or particularly rainy periods we can avoid watering.
