continental : We suggest to place the Gunnera manicata where it is exposed to direct sunlight.
It is advisable to cover the plant in winter with frost cloth, specially in case of intense frosts.

alpine : Place the Gunnera manicata in a location exposed to direct sunlight.
These plants do not tolerate long and intense frosts; for this reason we suggest to cover them with frost cloth during cold months.

mediterranean : These plants need to be exposed to direct sunlight; in summer they can be exposed to a slight shadow without any problem.
We suggest to grow these plants in the garden all year long, since they tolerate temperatures also close to -5°C without any problem.

Feed Gunnera manicata : From March to October fertilize using a fertilizer to be added to normal waterings, every 15-20 days; for your convenience it is also possible to use a slow-release granular fertilizer, to be placed around the plant every 3-4 months.

continental : Waterings shall be regular, but not excessive; allow the soil to dry out well between two waterings. Specially in spring and summer remember to give a good amount of water while watering.
