Kalmia angustifolia - Mountain laurel

continental : We suggest to place the Kalmia angustifolia where it is exposed to direct sunlight.
We can place this plants outside; also in winter they can tolerate very rigid temperatures without any problem.

alpine : Place the Kalmia angustifolia in a location exposed to direct sunlight.
These plants can tolerate also very intense frosts without any problem.

mediterranean : These plants need to be exposed to direct sunlight; in summer they can be exposed to a slight shadow without any problem.
Place the Kalmia angustifolia in the garden all year long; they do not suffer from cold.

Feed Kalmia angustifolia : Fertilize our shrubs using an organic fertilizer or a slow-release granular fertilizer, intervening at the end of winter and at the end of summer. Use potassium-rich fertilizers for our flowering plants, nitrogen-rich fertilizer for green plants.

Adversity Kalmia angustifolia : Acidophil plants suffer particularly from ferric chlorosis, that becomes evident from the yellowing of the leaves; to avoid it to appear maintain the soil ph level low, using specific fertilizers and a specific topsoil and avoiding excessively calcareous water; in case of need give ferric chelate. We suggest to apply a Bordeaux mixture treatment and an anti-aphids treatment in spring.
