Lavandula x intermedia - French lavender

continental : We suggest to place the Lavandula x intermedia where it is exposed to direct sunlight.
It is advisable to cover the plant in winter with frost cloth, specially in case of intense frosts.

alpine : Place the Lavandula x intermedia in a location exposed to direct sunlight.
These plants do not tolerate long and intense frosts; for this reason we suggest to cover them with frost cloth during cold months.

mediterranean : These plants need to be exposed to direct sunlight; in summer they can be exposed to a slight shadow without any problem.
We suggest to grow these plants in the garden all year long, since they tolerate temperatures also close to -5°C without any problem.

Feed Lavandula x intermedia : Fertilize our shrubs using an organic fertilizer or a slow-release granular fertilizer, intervening at the end of winter and at the end of summer. Use potassium-rich fertilizers for our flowering plants, nitrogen-rich fertilizer for green plants.

continental : Give very regular waterings; all year long the soil shall be kept humid, however avoiding dangerous stagnations. Increase waterings in summer and decrease them when autumn starts.

alpine : We suggest frequent and generous waterings, so that the soil remains mostly humid all year long. It is possible to decrease waterings in winter.

mediterranean : It is advisable to give regular waterings, specially during spring and summer; before giving again water make sure the soil is dry.
