Exposure Lewisia cotyledoncontinental : Place the Lewisia cotyledon in a semishady place, with few hours a day of direct sunlight. alpine : These plants do not like to be exposed to direct sunlight for long periods. mediterranean : These plants prefer semishady locations, but can be exposed for few hours to direct sunlight without any problem, above all during the coldest periods of the year. Fertilization Lewisia cotyledon : Fertilize perennials starting from winter, preferably using a slow-release fertilizer; it is also possible to fertilize our plants with a liquid fertilizer to be added to normal waterings, every 15-20 days; avoid fertilizings in autumn and winter. Watering Lewisia cotyledoncontinental : It is advisable to water regularly, specially during the hottest months of the year, avoiding to leave the soil dry for very long periods; the Lewisia cotyledon like slightly humid substrates all year long. Treatments Lewisia cotyledon : When spring starts apply a copper and sulphur treatment to avoid the growth of fungal diseases; in summer it can be necessary to use pesticide treatments, specially for the presence of aphids.
