continental : These plants do not like direct sunlight, therefore place them in a shady location.
These plants can tolerate short frosts not excessively cold; in case of very rigid winters It is advisable to cover the aerial part with frost cloth.

alpine : These plants prefer semishady or shady locations
It is advisable to cover the aerial part of the plant with a frost cloth starting from October until spring, to avoid the exposure to excessive intense frosts.

mediterranean : These plants do not like direct sunlight, therefore place them in a shady location.
These plants are grown in the garden; they tolerate slight frosts.

Fertilize Ligularia dentata : Fertilizings are given during the vegetative period, from March to October; it can be used a slow-release fertilizer, to be placed on the soil in two different times, once at the end of winter and once at the end of summer. It can be also used a fertilizer to be dissolved in normal waterings every 15-20 days. Avoid fertilizings in autumn and winter.

continental : It is advisable regular, frequent and generous waterings. The Ligularia dentata prefers fresh and humid soils. In any case avoid excessive watering and decrease waterings during the cold season.

alpine : These plants like dry and well drawn soil; water regularly during spring and summer, decrease waterings in autumn. In winter we can avoid watering, leaving the soil dry.

mediterranean : Grow the Ligularia dentata in a mostly dry soil, giving not so frequent waterings; but avoid to keep the soil dry for too long periods, intervening every 3-4 days and watering deeply the soil. Waterings can be suspended during the coldest periods of the year.
