continental : Place these plants in a sunny place, where they can be exposed for at least few hours a day to direct sunlight.
These plants can tolerate short frosts not excessively cold; in case of very rigid winters It is advisable to cover the aerial part with frost cloth.

alpine : We remind to place these plants always in a very bright location, exposed to direct sunlight.
It is advisable to cover the aerial part of the plant with a frost cloth starting from October until spring, to avoid the exposure to excessive intense frosts.

mediterranean : Try to place the Lithodora diffusa in a location well exposed to sunlight all year long.
These plants are grown in the garden; they tolerate slight frosts.

Fertilize Lithodora diffusa : Fertilizings are given during the vegetative period, from March to October; it can be used a slow-release fertilizer, to be placed on the soil in two different times, once at the end of winter and once at the end of summer. It can be also used a fertilizer to be dissolved in normal waterings every 15-20 days. Avoid fertilizings in autumn and winter.

continental : Waterings shall be generous and very regular, specially in summer; avoid to allow soil to become completely dry. When autumn starts decrease waterings and suspend them in winter.

Pests Lithodora diffusa : For a luxuriant growth it is advisable to grow the acidophil plants in a low ph level soil; a too much basic soil causes the emerging of ferric chlorosis, with an evident yellowing of the foliage; in this case we suggest to use greening fertilizers containing iron. During the first week of spring apply at least one pesticide treatment, against the aphids; we suggest also a copper and sulphur anti-fungal treatment
