Magnolia denudata

continental : We suggest to place the Magnolia denudata where it is exposed to direct sunlight.
It is advisable to cover the plant in winter with frost cloth, specially in case of intense frosts.

alpine : Place the Magnolia denudata in a location exposed to direct sunlight.
These plants do not tolerate long and intense frosts; for this reason we suggest to cover them with frost cloth during cold months.

mediterranean : These plants need to be exposed to direct sunlight; in summer they can be exposed to a slight shadow without any problem.
We suggest to grow these plants in the garden all year long, since they tolerate temperatures also close to -5°C without any problem.

Feed Magnolia denudata : Young plants just replanted shall be fertilized regularly, first of all by mixing some universal fertilizer, or some stable manure, with the soil where the plant will be replanted; later on fertilizings are given at the end of winter, using a nitrogen-rich fertilizer, to improve the growth of foliage.

continental : Give very regular waterings; all year long the soil shall be kept humid, however avoiding dangerous stagnations. Increase waterings in summer and decrease them when autumn starts.

alpine : We suggest frequent and generous waterings, so that the soil remains mostly humid all year long. It is possible to decrease waterings in winter.

mediterranean : It is advisable to give regular waterings, specially during spring and summer; before giving again water make sure the soil is dry.
