Mentha aquatica - Apple mint

continental : We suggest to place the Mentha aquatica where it is exposed to direct sunlight.
We can place this plants outside; also in winter they can tolerate very rigid temperatures without any problem.

alpine : Place the Mentha aquatica in a location exposed to direct sunlight.
These plants can tolerate also very intense frosts without any problem.

mediterranean : These plants need to be exposed to direct sunlight; in summer they can be exposed to a slight shadow without any problem.
Place the Mentha aquatica in the garden all year long; they do not suffer from cold.

Feed Mentha aquatica : Fertilize aromatic plants by preparing a bed to put them on mixing some slow-release organic or universal fertilizer; later on fertilize every 15-20 days, using a universal fertilizer to be dissolved in normal waterings.

continental : Give very regular waterings; all year long the soil shall be kept humid, however avoiding dangerous stagnations. Increase waterings in summer and decrease them when autumn starts.

alpine : We suggest frequent and generous waterings, so that the soil remains mostly humid all year long. It is possible to decrease waterings in winter.

mediterranean : It is advisable to give regular waterings, specially during spring and summer; before giving again water make sure the soil is dry.

Adversity Mentha aquatica : At the end of winter, when the buds are still closed, we can apply a copper and sulphur treatment, to avoid fungal diseases to emerge; during the year apply specific treatments only in case there is the presence of a parasite on the plant.
