Nymphaea alba

continental : We suggest to place the Nymphaea alba where it is exposed to direct sunlight.
We can place this plants outside; also in winter they can tolerate very rigid temperatures without any problem.

alpine : Place the Nymphaea alba in a location exposed to direct sunlight.
These plants can tolerate also very intense frosts without any problem.

mediterranean : These plants need to be exposed to direct sunlight; in summer they can be exposed to a slight shadow without any problem.
Place the Nymphaea alba in the garden all year long; they do not suffer from cold.

Feed Nymphaea alba : Fertilize water plants by using a slow-release fertilizer to be buried at their base, or we can use specific fertilizers for water plants, to be dissolved in the little lake or in the little pond in which the plants are grown. Usually these fertilizings are released regularly, during spring and summer.

continental : Grow the Nymphaea alba in a mostly dry soil, watering only in case of long drought or in case the substrate is very dry.

alpine : The Nymphaea alba prefers a dry soil, it does not suffer from drought; intervene and give water only during spring and summer, every 7-9 days, avoiding excessive watering, however watering the soil deeply. When the cold season starts decrease waterings or suspend them.

mediterranean : For the Nymphaea alba waterings can be not frequent, since these plants do not tolerate an excessive humidity of the soil; therefore always allow the soil to dry out between two waterings, leaving the plants without watering also for few days.
