continental : We suggest to place the Opuntia rulida where it is exposed to direct sunlight.
These plants do not tolerate temperatures below 10-12°C for long periods; it is advisable to replace them inside the house with the first cold weather of the season, or to grow them as houseplants all year long.

mediterranean : These plants need to be exposed to direct sunlight; in summer they can be exposed to a slight shadow without any problem.

Feed Opuntia rulida : It is advisable to fertilize these plants every 25-30 days, from April to September, using a specific fertilizer for succulent plants, rich of potassium and poor in nitrogen.

continental : Give very regular waterings; all year long the soil shall be kept humid, however avoiding dangerous stagnations. Increase waterings in summer and decrease them when autumn starts.
