Picea glauca - Picea engelmannii var. engelmannii

continental : We suggest to place the Picea glauca where it is exposed to direct sunlight.
We can place this plants outside; also in winter they can tolerate very rigid temperatures without any problem.

alpine : Place the Picea glauca in a location exposed to direct sunlight.
These plants can tolerate also very intense frosts without any problem.

mediterranean : These plants need to be exposed to direct sunlight; in summer they can be exposed to a slight shadow without any problem.
Place the Picea glauca in the garden all year long; they do not suffer from cold.

Feed Picea glauca : Young plants just replanted shall be fertilized regularly, first of all by mixing some universal fertilizer, or some stable manure, with the soil where the plant will be replanted; later on fertilizings are given at the end of winter, using a nitrogen-rich fertilizer, to improve the growth of foliage.

continental : Waterings shall be regular, but not excessive; allow the soil to dry out well between two waterings. Specially in spring and summer remember to give a good amount of water while watering.

alpine : These plants are watered regularly during the vegetative period, watering deeply the soil; remember that it is a rule to allow the soil to dry out well between two waterings. During the cold season waterings can be suspended.

mediterranean : These plants like a fresh and humid soil; give a good amount of water frequently, keeping the ground humid. Remember to increase waterings during hot and dry months and to decrease them in winter.
