continental : Avoid too much sunny locations, preferring semishady places.
There are not big problems to grow these plants, since they can easily tolerate also very intense frosts.

alpine : For a balanced growth and in order to avoid leaves sunburns place this plant in a semishady location.
They are rustic plants that tolerate frost very well; therefore they can be grown outside all year long.

mediterranean : It is suggested to place the Picea schrenkiana in a semishady location, away from direct sunlight for most part of the day.
This plant is very rustic and tolerate winter climate without any problem.

Fertilize Picea schrenkiana : We remind to give a good amount of stable manure or granular fertilizer when replanting, mixing it to the tree planting soil; later on it is advisable once a year usually, at the end of winter.
