Adversity Rhododendron sutchuense : Acidophil plants suffer particularly from ferric chlorosis, that becomes evident from the yellowing of the leaves; to avoid it to appear maintain the soil ph level low, using specific fertilizers and a specific topsoil and avoiding excessively calcareous water; in case of need give ferric chelate. We suggest to apply a Bordeaux mixture treatment and an anti-aphids treatment in spring.
